DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT - RESPONSIBILITIES
ANDREW WATSON

1) Responsible to the Development Management Group and Operations Management Group of the Yorkshire Cricket Board. The Line Manager is Ian Chappell.

2)The overall responsibilities of this post are as follows.

a)To promote and develop the game of Cricket at all levels and in all situations, especially in Club development.

b)To promote and implement the Yorkshire Cricket Board Development Plan within the context of the ECB Building Partnerships and the YCB Memorandum of Understanding with ECB.

c)To implement the policy of the Yorkshire Cricket Board

3) The prime responsibilities of this post are as follows.

a)To lead and support the CDM and CCC  team and convene such meetings, additional to the Development Management Group, as are necessary from time to time

b)To be a member of the Yorkshire Cricket Board

c)To be responsible to the Board and OMG for
      (i) Club Development  ( participation and facilities strategy )
      (ii) Workforce Development ( Coaches, Ground, Officials, Volunteers)
      (iii) Player Pathway development including programme and performance

              Management and competition development

(d)  To be responsible to the Board with the Chief Executive for Strategic Planning , and Action Planning

(e)  To be responsible to the Board for the YCB Development Strategy , Action Plans and Improvement Plan and their implementation and the monitoring of progress

(f) To agree individual work programmes with CDMs, CCCs, CEM , C2S Manager on a quarterly basis and more often if needed

       (g) To agree his own individual work programmes with the Board Chief Executive on at least a quarterly basis and more often if needed and to carry out agreed work

              Programmes and monitoring through timesheets etc

h)   To be responsible to the Board for relations with major external partners ( eg Sport England, CSPs)

i)   To work with Area Cricket Councils and Cricket Development Groups for the benefit of Board Development Programmes

(j)  To have oversight of ECB and other initiatives and programmes

(k) To line manage Coach Education Manager and Chance to Shine Officer

l) To provide support for the other CDMs and staff in their Overall, Regional, Prime or Oversight Responsibilities as may be required from time to time

4)The oversight responsibilities of this post are as follows

      To take specific responsibility for  the following Project area or as required by the Yorkshire Cricket Board

a)  Child Welfare matters

b)  ECB Loans and grants (SiS applications )

c) Liaison with Yorkshire Womens Cricket Association

5)The regional responsibilities of this post are as follows

To take overall responsibility for  Yorkshire

IAN CHAPPELL - CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF THE YORKSHIRE CRICKET BOARD

Responsible for the direction of YCB policy, including Grounds policy,
Premier Leagues, Disability matters and those pertaining to the BEM Forum.
Oversight of all development planning
Oversight of Child Welfare matters
An overview of all Club Development matters
Looks after all matters concerning YCB`s relationships with ECB
The Admin Officer Line Manager
Responsible for policy and directional planning
As Treasurer, he is responsible for all financial planning, budgets and reports
and responsible for the pay-roll issues pertaining to all YCB employees

DAVID CLAYTON - CHANCE TO SHINE MANAGER

3.3.1) Under the Director of Development maintain the Chance to Shine club administration records 

3.3.2) Receive and check and input all club coach payment records and expenses claims 

3.3.3) Prepare coach payment sheets for payroll 

3.3.4) Record club monitoring visits and quality assurances 

3.3.5) Perform such other Chance to Shine administrative tasks as are needed from time to time

3.1.1) Manage the Board SAGE Payroll system  - Input and maintain employee records, input monthly payments and run monthly payroll,  post payslips and information sheets to employees

2) Prime Responsibilities
2.1) To promote and develop the game of cricket at all levels
2.2) To assist the Board Secretary /Treasurer in the implementation of Board policy
2.3) To provide administrative aid to the Board Secretary/Treasurer, Director of Development and Cricket Development Managers in the promotion and implementation of the Board Development Plan
2.4) To deal with Board correspondence as from time to time required by the Board Secretary/Treasurer

3) Specific Responsibilities

3.1) Administration

3.1.1) Responsible for the Board Administration Office and reproductive facilities
3.1.2) Prepare and activate Board league and club communications ( the "mailouts")
3.1.3 ) Keep Club and League membership records and directory including general club data and contacts on CBMS
3.1.4) To maintain Coach, Player, Officials, Child Welfare and other databases, registers and records as may be agreed from time to time
3.1.5) Record and deal with Clubs and League communications.
3.1.6) Act as Minute Secretary to the Board and such Sub-Committees as are required
3.1.7) Undertake such other tasks as may be from time to tine be reasonably required

3.3 Pathways to Excellence and Player Performance Administrator

3.3.1) To administer facility approval and establish centres as agreed from time to time
3.3.2) To register all courses, liaise with the relevant bodies and invite all students
3.3.3) To record and maintain all relevant records with regards to player pathways and performance
3.3.4) Undertake such other tasks as may be from time to tine be reasonably required

4) Other Responsibilities

The above shall not affect any other voluntary/elected responsibilities held under the auspices of the Board or the Yorkshire Cricket Association unless specifically ruled otherwise by the Board. Neither shall it affect any other voluntary unpaid position in cricket administration always providing that the contractual hours can be fulfilled.

4)The oversight responsibilities of this post are as follows.

To take County Oversight responsibilities for the following project area or as required by YCB

a) Cricket for the Disabled and liaison with appropriate groups and the Yorkshire Disability Cricket Forum.

b) Workforce development - Groundsmen, development and education matters, including pitch upgrades and liaison with County Pitch Advisors and the IOG.

5)The regional responsibilities of this post are as follows.

To take responsibility for the following region and as required by YCB.

The Unitary authorities of Middlesbrough, Redcar/Cleveland and the City of York, North Yorkshire County Council and the following shire districts - Craven, Hambleton, Harrogate, Richmondshire, Ryedale and Scarboorugh
